On Saturday afternoon, a terrible tragedy took place in Bondi, New South Wales, where innocent people were murdered. On Monday evening, a terrorist attack took place in an Assyrian Orthodox Church in New South Wales.

We will not go into further details; not only has the news provided adequate coverage, but it is not something people will want to continually relive.

However, the victims will forever be in our nation’s memory. Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to the six lives lost on Saturday: Ashlee Good, Dawn Singleton, Jade Young, Pikria Darchia, Yixuan Cheng, and Faraz Tahir and their family and friends. We hope that their families are one day able to find peace, as well as the many witnesses (among which were several brave heroes, including Inspector Amy Scott, Damien Geurot, and Silas Despreaux) forced to live through Saturday’s horror.

Our hearts also go out to the witnesses and victims of Monday night’s terrorist attack. We hope the Bishop is able to recover fully, as is everyone injured and/or affected by the ordeal. We also hope the first responders attacked by the disgusting mob of protestors outside the church make full recoveries and know that we are grateful for their bravery, selflessness, and help in times of need.
