February has arrived and is already threatening to leave. 

I'm pleased to say I have still kept up with some of my resolutions (hablo un poco de español), failed in others, and re-thought the rest. My proudest achievement this month is finishing the manuscript of my latest novel, The Monsters We Hide, expected to be released in October 2026. There'll be many months ahead of querying, editing, cover design, and marketing, but it'll be worth it in the end to finally have this story out there beyond its original app format.

If you were a Gen X or Millennial fan of Twilight, Blood Bloods, Vampire Academy, Marked, or Vampire Knight back in the day, this book will be right up your alley (without sparkles or problematic relationships...). And if you're Gen Z and looking for a book that will pack a punch, you'll be happy to explore the themes inside.

The work won't stop there, though, as I get stuck into yet another novel involving a Cinderella retelling. This one won't be aimed at YA, though, so it will be interesting making the crossover into a new genre.

I have big plans for this year, and I can't wait to share them with you.
